Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment

WanderTheSphere is operated by JSBmarketing, based in The Netherlands. We are committed to making our travel planning platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We design with accessibility in mind and aim to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, in line with the European Accessibility Act and Dutch national accessibility requirements. This is an ongoing effort and we are continuously improving.

2. Measures We Have Implemented

We have taken the following steps to improve accessibility:

• Semantic HTML structure with heading hierarchy (h1–h4) for screen reader compatibility.
• Keyboard navigation support for standard interactive elements such as forms, buttons, and links.
• Alt text on content images (e.g. trip covers, activity photos, avatars).
• Responsive design using Tailwind CSS that adapts to different screen sizes.
• Form fields with associated labels using the Label component.
• Dark mode support for users who prefer reduced brightness.

3. Known Limitations

We are transparent about the fact that our platform is not yet fully WCAG 2.1 AA compliant. The following limitations are known and we are actively working to address them:

• Interactive map components (powered by Leaflet) have limited screen reader and keyboard support for map navigation.
• Some text and background colour combinations may not yet meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio required by WCAG AA for normal-sized text.
• Not all custom interactive controls (e.g. toggle switches, tab buttons) have a visible focus indicator.
• Third-party content (hotel images, Google Places data) may not always include comprehensive alt text.
• AI-generated itinerary content may occasionally produce non-standard formatting.

4. Third-Party Content

Our platform integrates third-party services including Google Maps, Hotelbeds, and Stripe. While we select partners who share our commitment to accessibility, we cannot guarantee the full accessibility of content controlled by these third parties.
